SINNERS MAKE ART
031425 a name mysteriously scrawled across Victoria’s urban landscape. This project explores obsession, authorship, and the archive The immersive wall piece functions as both documentation and shrine. Hundreds of inkjet-printed photographs, all featuring iterations of the “ROGER” tag, are tiled floor-to-ceiling to form a dense visual field. The repetition becomes a form of fixation. Each tag feels at once anonymous and intimate, public and personal. a question: who is Roger, and why is he everywhere? a visual manifestation of obsession, a kind of urban pattern recognition that speaks to both surveillance and affection, the city becomes a canvas. What does it mean to see someone everywhere but never truly know them? Printed photographs, city documents, handwritten annotations, and speculative notes are ring-bound in a format that encourages tactile interaction. As viewers flip through the pages, they join the artist in the act of hunting and mapping Roger’s movements. This journal blurs boundaries between photography, zine culture, and investigative fieldwork. It positions the artist not as a passive observer but as participant in an unfolding mystery one where the subject is always just out of reach. The inclusion of imperfect images, overlapping scribbles, and raw thoughts suggests a practice that values process as much as outcome.

040224 Laser prints Working with my obsession with Roger displaying as an urban intervention. The layered prints replicate and amplify the ephemeral nature of graffiti, drawing attention to the ongoing negotiations between public space, authorship, and visibility. By methodically pasting multiple copies of graffiti imagery, the work explores the boundaries between spontaneous mark-making and structured intervention, raising questions about the institutionalization of street art. The installation interacts directly with its environment, engaging passersby in a dialogue about the role of unsanctioned visual culture in urban settings.
